Group Session

Service Description

At Beyond the Basics Education, we offer small group tutoring sessions in-person and larger group session per class online. This experience allows for groups to work together creatively on a lesson and really implement a flipped classroom environment. Students can challenge themselves and are encouraged to ask question by the teacher and peers. Because of its emphasis on student engagement and learning strategies, group tutoring sessions are often more effective than individual tutoring. Group sessions requires tutors to be skilled in facilitation and class management in order to account for the needs and expectations of multiple members. Because group tutoring functions like a team, it also requires a more conscious leadership role on the part of the tutor.
